About our Faculty

The School of Music and Dance boasts an exciting array of faculty artists and scholars that include the resident Alexander String Quartet, violinist Jassen Todorov, pianists Roger Woodward and Victoria Neve, composer Richard Festinger, writer/historian Dean Suzuki, educator Wendell Hanna, and saxophonists Hafez Modirzadeh and Andrew Speight.

Our conducting faculty includes Cyrus Ginwala, orchestra and David Xiques, choir. Dancer/choreographer Ray Tadio, Susie Whipp and critic/historian Yutian Wong provide our students with cutting edge perspectives in the world of dance.

Our lecturer faculty consists of internationally acclaimed artists who are committed to excellence in and out of the classroom.

Concert calendar

The School of Music and Dance proudly offers an active recital and concert calendar with student, faculty and visiting artist performances and master classes. These events are open to the entire campus community, as well as the greater San Francisco bay area and beyond.
