Wendell Hanna is assistant professor of bassoon and music education. Her degrees are from the University of Oregon, Ph. D.(2000), Yale University, M. M. (1987) and a B.A. from the University of South Florida (1985). She has taught at Willamette University and University of California at Santa Cruz and was most recently principal bassoonist with the Oregon Mozart Players, the Eugene Opera, and the Salem Chamber Symphony. Wendell HAS presented papers at The Northwest division of the Music Educators National Conference, the International Society for Music Education, and published in the journal Early Childhood Connections. Her research interests include early childhood musical development, technology in teaching instrumental music, and teacher training.
