About
The mission of the ensemble is to expose the larger listening audience to the richness of Cuban music that has so influenced American music since the 19th century, and to perform other related Pan-African-American styles of music namely from South America and the Caribbean and jazz in a demonstration of the interconnectedness of African influences in the Americas.
Audition information
Auditions are held the first week of each semester. Play or sing a song of your choice—singers are encouraged, but not required, to sing in Spanish. For more information, contact John Calloway.
