Composer heads Morrison Artists Series - San Francisco State University
Professor of Music and SF State alum (B.M. '76) Richard Festinger has been appointed the new artistic director of the Morrison Artists Series at SF State. A composer and performer, Festinger's background includes prestigious awards for contemporary chamber music composition and a performance at the Woodstock music festival in 1969.

San Francisco State To Get a $146 Million Performing Arts Center | California Home + Design
Stark white against the mercurial skies of San Francisco, the Mashouf Performing Arts Center will be a dramatic addition to the San Francisco State University campus. The contemporary building will house five performance spaces, including a 1,200-seat opera theater for large performances, and dozens of studios and classrooms for music, theater, dance and broadcast journalism.
